Young Enterprise
Young Enterprise is a national organisation set up to forge links between schools and industry. Its aim is to inspire and equip young people to learn and succeed through enterprise.The scheme gives any participating student the opportunity to gain personal experience of how business works, understand the role it plays in providing employment and creating prosperity.
In Year Ten, as part of the Business Studies Course, students are invited to set up real companies which they then run. Our Head of Business Studies leads the programme supported by voluntary advisers from local business and industry.
Besides running the companies, our students compete with other schools and eventually achieve a Young Enterprise Award through a nationally accredited examination and record of achievement.
