We follow an imaginative course which matches National Curriculum guidelines. Students at Key Stage 3 are involved with all the materials and techniques and are encouraged to develop technical skills and an imaginative response.
At Key Stage 4 we follow the Unendorsed GCSE Syllabus. The GCSE examination comprises 60% coursework and 40% final examination. Results at GCSE are excellent.
We display our students work annually at Bridgwater Arts Centre and have displays around the school.
The Art & Design Department is a member of the school Drama Production Team and Art staff and Art students have always taken responsibility for set designs and scenery painting. We also make masks and props as required.
